We were released from the hospital on Saturday and welcomed Auggie home to his new place. We can't begin to express how wonderful it felt to drive home with our son in the car. We were full of smiles for our life to begin. As our favorite nurse said as we left the hospital, "You came in as two and are leaving as three."

We survived the first night at home with flying colors! And night two was just as great. We have managed to get some sleep and have had a handful of visitors who have spoiled us with gifts and delicious meals to make life that much easier.
The dog has reacted a lot better than expected. We agree that we didn't need a baby monitor because she is on the case the minute the baby cries or whines or breathes heavy. All Eden wants to do is sniff and give a quick lick. She has managed to steal a sock or two as well as a pacifier. If that is the worst, we'll gladly take it.
Heather and Pat--You are both GLOWING in these pics. Amazing how such a tiny gem could make such a big impact!
